Vedic Schools

In addition to the programs offered at Anamay Ashram in Kausani, after-school classes are offered in cities and villages throughout the Himalayas. In these programs the students practice the Transcendental Meditation technique and yoga asanas together.  Further they learn to recite selected stotras of the Vedic literature. This extra-curricular activity takes the students one hour per day and is organized through the Dhanvantari Dhyan Yog Ved Vigyan Utthan Samiti, a related Non-Government Organization (NGO).

There are currently over 500 students enrolled in this program throughout the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand (formerly Uttaranchal). We hope that this consciousness-based program contributes to the re-enlivenment of Vedic values and a Vedic lifestyle.
